It’s time to mark your calendars. Standard Bakery, which started a fortnightly-turned-weekly pop-up on Saturdays to give neighbours a taste of their wide variety of croissants, danishes, sandwiches and desserts in April, will be officially open to the public on Saturday, August 26.
A Grand Opening celebration will be held between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the Atrium Square shopping centre, which also hosts Uncle Mike’s BBQ and Cider Bar. The event will feature a bounce house, live music and a pie throwing contest. Visitors will also get to sample Standard’s oh-so-yummy baked goods.
Standard Bakery will be open from 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM daily (yes, Monday through Sunday). Only cookies and ice cream will be available after 6:00 PM. They will also have a bench for outdoor seating. Some of us may miss the long line that helped us know our neighbours more while trying hard to suppress our appetite!
