Here’s notice of new construction on 8th Avenue NE. It will be an 89-unit, workforce housing apartment building, adjacent to the Northaven Senior Living campus which is across from the Northgate post office. The first floor will be occupied by a YMCA-run daycare center providing childcare and early education, in what is now an underserved area for childcare. It includes a well-lit, landscaped public walkway that will allow neighbors to cut across the property from 8th Avenue NE, to connect with the bus and other amenities on 5th Ave.It is currently in the design and entitlement phase of the project, and the Design Review Board meeting is January 4th, at 7 PM.
