As part of the Thornton Creek Basin Sewer Study and Upgrade Project, King County Wastewater Treatment Division is conducting smoke testing in part of Pinehurst east of 15th Ave NE this summer to locate problem areas within the local sewer system that connects to the County’s Thornton Creek sewer pipe. If you are in the test area (see map below – which is admittedly vague), you will receive a notification letter in the mail. They will leave a notice on your property one to three working days before testing occurs in your area. Field crews will also post signs on nearby streets to indicate when smoke testing is in progress. For more information about the testing click here.
