There’s a new Land Use Application in Pinehurst this week. I’ve included the application from the website below. There’s a link at the top of the page where they’re taking public comments. These are being accepted through 3/21/2010.
Land Use Application to subdivide one development site into four unit lots. The construction of residential units has been approved under Project #6157135. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots.

I think this is merely a formality as the townhouses have already been built.
I think the formality has to do with them selling the townhouses. It’s already zoned to allow them to build the buildings there. But if they want to sell them as separate units they need to be able to (or just want to) sell the piece of property with it. Or at least that’d be my guess…
I walk by this everyday. It was just foundation for so long then finally the structures were build. Funny that they didn’t subdivide until the units were almost completed. Just happy to not have a big hole in the ground that’s an eye sore. The new townhouses don’t really fit our neighborhood; they really stand out.
Yeah, when I first read about this I assumed it was a different lot entirely because I didn’t think they’d be subdividing something that was already built.
