Do you like planning events? Do you want to get to know your neighbors better? We need a planning team for next year’s Pinehurst Summer Social.
Roles include:
- Coordination with Seattle Parks Department (park reservation, children’s activities, tents, etc.)
- Inviting other organizations to participate in the event
- Publicity (mailers, press releases, signs, canvassing neighborhood, etc)
- Outreach (contacting other neighborhood organizations, especially under served populations)
- Music programming (finding musicians, locating PA and other equipment, running sound day of, etc.)
- Food and food donations
- Volunteer coordinator
- Donations and financial administration
- Weather control (It is not supposed to rain in August!)
If you want to improve on the event from this year, you should join the team. The more people involved and the more perspectives, the better.
We will discuss next year’s social at our September 18th meeting and volunteers can coordinate meeting times that work best for them. If you are interested, though, please let me know.
