I got sent some information on the Jackson Park Trail Meetings coming up. This includes the walk through at the golf course as well as the later community meetings. More attendance and feedback for all the meetings will be helpful.
The Friends of Jackson Park Trail Selection Committee recently hired Larson Casteel to provide landscape architectural services to help us move forward with our goal for a trail perimeter trail. Services will include but are not limited to: development of a trail design, recording feedback from public meetings, preparation of preliminary cost estimate, and coordination with Friends of Jackson Park Trail and Seattle Parks and Recreation.
We would like to hold our first steering commitee meeting on June 1 at 6:30 pm to meet with Larson Casteel at Golf Course, walk the site, ask / answer questions, look at preliminary meeting materials. Discussions will also include upcoming public meetings, three total: June 22, July 21, and September 8. There will be a need for steering committee involvement during this process.
