Since October 3 there have been four auto thefts or car prowl thefts in our neighborhood:
10/3 115xx blk Lake City Way – theft auto acc (not sure what this is)
10/09 14xx blk NE 120th St – car prowl theft
10/9 115xx blk Pinehurst Way – auto theft
10/13 10xx blk NE 115th St – auto theft
In addition, this week I saw a parked car whose passenger window was smashed on 20th Ave NE just south of NE 115th St.
Please protect your vehicles from theft. Review Seattle Police car theft prevention tips here. And please be vigilant; if you see suspicious behavior, call 9-1-1.
It’s a good idea to report even small property crimes to the police. The more they know about what’s going on in the neighborhood, the better they can do appropriate levels of patrolling.
Unfortunately, I have another crime to add to your list. We live near Pinehurst Pocket Park (117th St) and were the victims of a car prowl sometime between 1 am and 7 am on 10/20/11. No damage to the car thankfully, but they took a few items totaling about $300. I’ve filed a police report. Thought I would comment here in an attempt to get the word out to the community.
