Around the end of summer we reported that two witch hazels in the pocket park were stolen. This week we put a new plant in the park and during our digging found the stumps of the witch hazels. They had been cut down, not stolen. We can only speculate how this happened. Now there is green ribbon on young plants so it is clear that they are intentional, notĀ invasivesĀ or volunteers.
Just wanted to set the record straight.
The push broom remains missing.
Thanks for setting it straight. Originally I was both saddened and disheartened to hear about such a “theft”. While we don’t really know what happened and can only speculate, I’m glad to hear this update.
Thank you, Rhonda, for donating a very nice push broom to the Pocket Park! We’re going to try to find a safer place for it, perhaps in an adjacent neighbor’s yard.
