There is continuing concern about the small (former) wetland to the south of the North Precinct building. I don’t understand the issues well, but it seems that energy went into stabilizing and maintaining this wetland maybe a decade back, but the drain has been modified (possibly by City personnel) so that area is dry now.
A strong letter went out February to the City Council from several informed people, reviewing the situation and requesting action. Too long to include here, but here are some links about this issue:
