Grace and Tarzan.
Tarzan owns Renee’s neighbors Grace and Claire. Most of you who read the Pinehurst blog know who Renee is. She first met him when he was a kitten and he used to pounce on anyone and anything in an instant. He was a strong, energetic and very playful kitten. Today he is enormous. Claire thinks he is half Maine Coon Cat.
Tarzan turns three years old this week. His “brother”, Cattail, is 18. (Cattail was inside napping when Renee stopped by to visit, so he didn’t get his picture taken). Grace, her mom Claire, Tarzan and Cattail are some of Renee’s favorite neighbors. They are almost always up for a visit – especially on nice days when we are out walking. And Claire always hosts the Night Out Against Crime gatherings on our street on the first Tuesday in August.

My Facebook friend (where I posted a link to this article) commented: "Tarzan is very handsome, and clearly royalty, but just how ferocious is he? Is he a guard cat, or just king of the jungle…. oops, I mean neighborhood?"
The first paragraph is a bit muddled. I've rewritten it for clarity. Use or rewrite or discard as you like.
Tarzan owns Pinehurst resident Claire and is a good buddy of his neighbor Grace. When everyone first met Tarzan he was a small, rascally kitten full of mischief. He used to pounce on anyone and anything in an instant. He was a strong, energetic and very playful kitten. Today he is enormous and a bit more mellow and friendly. Claire thinks he is half Maine Coon Cat.
