Starting Tuesday of next week (July 16), Seattle Department of Transportation crews will fill cracks in arterial asphalt streets at 15th Avenue NE, between Northeast 145th Street and Northeast 120th Street.
This process will reduce the amount of water that seeps under the pavement causing potholes and other roadway damage. This preventative maintenance work will help to prolong the life of the pavement.
No street closures will be required, but there will be lane closures of up to four hours and on-street parking will be restricted. Typical work hours will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. “No-parking” signs will be posted 72 hours in advance. SDOT crews will work to minimize any delays and will provide assistance as needed. Traffic flaggers will be present during maintenance work. Sidewalks will remain open at all times.
