WA State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is conducting its annual bicycle and pedestrian counting project in early fall. It’s looking for volunteers to stand at certain locations and observe bicycle and pedestrian movements and record the counts on tally sheets.
This data helps WSDOT to more accurately estimate demand, measure the benefits of investments, and design projects. This information will also help target safety and mobility projects and improve traffic models.
