Seattle City Councilmember and candidate for Mayor, Jan Drago met with Pinehurst neighbors yesterday at Pinehurst Playfield. Jan spoke of her priorities for Seattle with include prioritizing neighborhoods and reestablishing the Seattle Police Department gang unit. Afterward, neighbors asked her questions and spoke with Jan of their concerns regarding increased crime activity, the need for sidewalks and concerns about townhouses in Pinehurst. I really wish I had been notified of her visit. It is great that she came. Will community members be notified of future visits like this through email?

I posted information to the blog last week and sent a link in last week's News North of Northgate and a reminder e-mail the morning of the event. E-mails go to about 330 people. After folks signed up at Pinehurstfest, we have about 350 folks on our weekly mailing list. Hopefully you will know about all future events!
