Casey McNerthney reports on the pionline.com that an armed teen attempted to rob a 13 or 14-year-old on Saturday, August 1st.
About 12:30 p.m. Saturday, a teen near Roosevelt Way Northeast and Eighth Avenue Northeast pulled a silver revolver or a young girl, either 13 or 14, who initially refused to give him her shoulder bag.
He pulled the gun when she refused and put it back in his right front pocket after showing it to her, according to police. The girl yelled for help and refused to hand over her bag or phone, and the suspect fled on foot, police said.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, 14- or 15-years-old, 5-foot-5 and 120 pounds. He wore a black Raiders beanie cap, a white T-shirt and gray sweatpants.
