Lake City and the surrounding neighborhoods are home to a growing number of children who attend Olympic Hills Elementary School and will be impacted by the schools closure and rebuild. On this walk leaders will identify some of the challenges crossing Lake City Way and NE 125th Street that kids might experience when they walk to school, and discuss short and long-term opportunities for improvements that could be incorporated into the Lake City urban design project.
When: Sunday May 4, 2-4 pm
Meeting place: Kaffeeklatsch, 12513 Lake City Way NE
Walk Leader: Katie Sheehy, Seattle Department of Planning and Development
For those interested, the conversation can be continued at Elliott Bay Brewery after the walk.
