This month’s guest speaker, who was going to give an update on the status of the design and build of the new North Precinct headquarters, had to cancel, so we’ll get an update another time.
The good news is that north precinct auto thefts and car prowls are down compared to Jan-Feb last year. Residential burglaries are down 8%.
The bad news is that street robberies and assaults are up. Many robberies are of cell phones. These two problems will be a focus in the north precinct. Five robbery arrests were made in thirty days.
The noise ordinance is taken very seriously by SPD. Don’t hesitate to call 911 if you are bothered by excessive and inappropriate noise.
