This month’s guest speaker was Pete Holmes, Seattle City Attorney. He explained the function of his office.
In precinct news, the SPD top level shake-ups have trickled down to the precincts. Our Captain Dave Emerick is being moved to Narcotics Unit. Our new captain will be Sean O’Donnell, a long-time officer at SPD.
Also discussed were the problems with dealing with car camping on public streets, where we are in regulating marijuana and more. Read the minutes here.
Shout out to my friend attorney Cassie Trueblood for making this real ” Want to change focus from spending resources on getting a person to the
point of being competent to stand trial, “competency restoration”, to spend
resources on connecting person to hospitalization, caregivers and
medication for longer term benefits”
There was a neighborhood watch text going around last night that there was a lot of police activity at the corner of 19th NE and NE 113th … I live at 1922 NE 113th and directly behind my house is a ‘mother in law’ that is not being used (except for her two cats) and behind HER house (Tony Mozzone’s old house) there is a ‘father in law’ and a nasty old garage where someone could hide out (in any of the three houses).
in case you have not looked there, it might be a good idea. By the way, my dogs went beserk last night in the backyard sometime between 7:45 and 8:45… it was still light outside.
thank you (if you captured your assailant that would be comforting to know. Please send me an email if you did) thank you, Michele
