This month’s guest speaker was Elliot Helmbrecht from SDOT, speaking about projects on the Levy to Move Seattle that we approved in November. It’s a 9 year, $930 million levy that replaces the old 9 year $365 million Bridging the Gap levy that expired. Read more about this in the minutes.
Crime statistics for June were good! Larceny (theft) & residential burglary were the lowest month all year.
Here’s a tip for calling 911 – If you call about a suspicious person, tell the 911 operator what he/she is doing that looks suspicious. This provides the deployed officer a clue, and may be probable cause to stop the person.
The precinct picnic is this Saturday (7/9) from 11 – 4 at Ballard Commons Park (5701 22nd Ave NW) during Ballard Seafood Fest. The picnic features free music, food, children’s activities, door prizes and more.
