Reminder that Pinehurstfest is Tomorrow! Saturday (July 15th) from 2-5pm!

We’ll have local live music, lemonade and soft drinks, cake, and popsicles! And it’s all free!

Though we’re still looking for some more volunteers to help out. There are some slots available to keep an eye on the kid’s art table (no art skills needed), or help clean up afterwards. You can sign up here:

Lake City Junior Football

If you are looking for a football program for your child and you live in NE Seattle, here is some information about Lake City Junior Football:

Lake City Junior Football (LCJF) welcomes new NE players to the 2017 season (our team is part of the Washington Junior Football league. Lake City Junior Football’s mission is to provide a positive introduction to youth football for ALL of its players. LCJF program teaches core values, age appropriate coaching and encouragement, and fundamental football skills. Its goal is to enrich the lives of the players by building character and developing a strong work ethic, while reinforcing positive self-image and sportsmanship. It fosters social skills including teamwork, cooperation, communication, and discipline.

LCJF never turns away a player who wants to play but cannot afford registration fees (partial scholarships if eligible and car wash ticket sales will cover most of player registration fees).  Also, there is a new family special with $100 off registration fees (total registration cost for the season is currently $260 but new families joining get $100 off registration fees and can cover a significant portion of the rest of the cost through a fundraising program).

The season starts on August 7th and registration is currently open.  Gear Suit Up is happening on July 15th, so if interested in having your child join, you should register before this date if possible. To register: http://www.lakecityjuniorfootball.com/home

One of our Pinehurst moms says her 9 year old  son’s football community and football participation has been such a positive experience for him. If you want to talk to a mom (her!), a coach, or the registrar, please contact: info@lakecityjuniorfootball.com
