Subject: Tent City3 NeedsDear Partners:
It is really, really cold outside especially at night. The residents of TC3 are feeling it even more than we are. Please consider providing them with chemical hand warmers and blankets to help them keep warm.Comforters, blankets, warm throws, hats, gloves, jackets and sweaters all help to keep the cold at bay.
Chemical hand warmers can be purchased at Costco by the case for a very reasonable price. The residents use these while providing 24 hour security duty and have also learned to tuck them inside pockets while sleeping to help keep warm.
Other good things are canned or packaged soup, coffee, hot chocolate, anything that can be warmed up and keep folks warm from the inside out can help to chase the cold away.
If you, or anyone you know can help with these items this week, please do so.
Stay warm and be well,
MaryRev. Deacon Mary Gould

Thanks for letting us know how to help. Where do we drop these things off?
Tent City3 is staying at St. George Episcopal Church, 2212 NE 125th St, until January 2nd, 2010.
More information about Tent City can be found at SHARE/WHEEL’s web site.
You can pull in to the church driveway and drop items off. The men greatfully accept your donations on the right hand side part way towards the church, then you can easily turn around opposite the church. (I have dropped off things a couple of times but was intimidated by the driveway at first – it is fine.)
