Birthday Celebration
Northgate Community Center will celebrate its 5th birthday Friday evening, July 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the center, 10510 5th Ave. NE.
The celebration will feature bounce houses in the gym, crafts projects for kids, complimentary cake, hot dogs to purchase, and big band-era music by the group Route 66 will play for listening and dancing.

Summer Concert Series
Starting on July 21, Northgate Community Center will offer a summer concert every Thursday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with these bands performing:
July 21 Vinny Diaz, salsa/Latin music
July 28 Country Lips, country/folk rock
August 4 Vintage 1 Jazz Band, jazz
August 11 The Uptown 4, a cappella quartet
August 18 Off the Hood, Rolling Stones cover band
August 25 Bonnie Birch, classy accordion
