Welcome Tommy’s Pizza

I meant to post this a while ago but it didn’t happen. The recent discussion on the Facebook Page reminded me though. Tommy’s Pizza is new to the neighborhood taking over for the the last of the rating cycle of pizza places at 11754 15th Ave NE #2. I went it and checked it out myself and really enjoyed it. I also had a very nice chat with the owner who had some history about him in flier. Oh, and I’m typing this out manually from the flier so there are bound to be some typos. Sorry.

Hello, my name is Thomas “Tommy” M. Dillon, I was born and raised in Washington, and have spent most of my life working in and around the Puget Sound for various pizza establishments over the last 25 years. During this time I have amassed a cast knowledge of Fast Casual Pizza Recipes.

I opened my 1st location at East Bremerton on Febrary 15th of this year which has become very successful. Building on its success I decided to purchase my 2nd location in your neighborhood located in what used to be House of Pizza which was previous Northgate Pizza, which was previously Domino’s Pizza and was owned by my good friend Arthur N. Mannikko.

Our Signiture Crust is a Beer Batter Crust, a medium thick crust made with Redhook ESB. We brush Garlic Butter on each pizza before we place it in the over for added flavor, brought to you in the 12″ inch, 14″ inch, 16″ inch, and the 24-Cut Party Pizza a full sheet pizza “Sicillian Style” cooked on a 18″ x 26″ cooking sheet and cut into 24 square pieces.

We also carry a crunch Thin Crusted Pizza which is also glazed with Garlic Butter prior to cooking brought to you in 12″ inch or 14″ inch, and lastly we have a buttery flavored gluton-free pizza crust for those with special dietary needs brought to you in 12″ inch or 14″ inch, or restaurant has been thoroughly cleaned to eliminate any possibility of cross-contamination from wheat based products. If you are Gluten intolerant and would like more information on our Standard Operating Procedures regarding the production of our Gluten-Free Pizza’s, please ask our manager for a walk-thru discussion before your next purchase.

As you check out our menu you will see that we carry a wide array of sauces and toppings to choose from. We also offer a large selection of traditional and not-so traditional pizza cobinations. Can’t make up your mind? There is no charge for a half and half pizza at Tommy’s Pizza.

We also have several side items Salads, Chicken Wings, Boneless Chicken Bites, Breadsticks, Cinnasticks, Garlic Bread, or Cheesey Bread to accompany your meal.

Hungy, but not for pizza? We also serve Grinders (a larger version of baked sub sandwich), Calzones, Stombilo, and a wide array of hot and cold pasta dishes.

Chase it all done with a pint of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, an idividual cheesecake, or choose from our wide array of refreshing Pepsi products.

Currently we are offering a large 3-Topping Pizza for only $7.99 for carryout or delivery any day of the week, and a large (14″) Unlimited Topping Pizza (No Double Toppings) for only $11.99. Build your own or try one our of amazing combinations.

Hope to see you soon. ~Tommy!

August Residential Crime Report

This message is from our Crime Prevention Coodinator, Terrie Johnston:

Hope those of you who participated in our 27th Annual Night Out on August 2nd enjoyed Seattle’s biggest Crime Prevention celebration.   1,327 blocks registered this year, a 12% increase in participation from last year  (approx. 720 blocks in the North Precinct participated, twice the number of the other  4 precincts combined).  Spectacular!

No big crime trends  to report at this time, however, here are a few tidbits from recent residential burglary reports.  August burglaries occurred during daytime hours, many before noon.  The bulk of the entries are non-forced through open or  unlocked doors and windows.  (Still a few  through dog-doors as previously reported)

I noticed several entries through unlocked garage doors, which can be harder to protect.  If you can access your home through the garage, please think of the door between the garage and house as an exterior door.  They should be solid; wooden or metal with good deadbolt lock and a door frame that is anchored into the wall studs.  Window screens are easy to cut or remove so don’t consider them adequate defense for an open window.

Victims reported they left doors unlocked as they were only walking the dog, or at a nearby park with their kids and didn’t plan on being gone long.  We think 9 minutes is a long time for a burglar to be in your home.  Laptops, jars of coins, jewelry and tools were popular stolen items this month.

One burglar entered an unlocked garage and stole the victim’s car using the valet key left in the glove box of the vehicle.

On 7/30/11 people on Densmore Ave. N. were having a party in their basement and a guest came upstairs to find four burglars inside the house.  They were chased outside and fled in the suspects’ vehicle.    An astute individual reported 2 motorcyclists stuffing their back packs with stuff from a suitcase they later discarded.  The witness gave good descriptions and even a license plate number to 9-1-1.  Officers ended up arresting one of the thieves a short time later near the Home Depot parking lot.  Turned out the motorcycle was stolen.  The suitcases seen had the victim’s name on the ID Tags which helped verify a burglary had occurred; and most of the chase was caught on an in-car camera of the patrol car.   Great work by North Precinct patrol and by the great witness who called in the Suspicious Activity which lead to the arrest.   You are our eyes and ears!

For any questions or to schedule any follow up services, please call me at the North Precinct.  tj

Pinehurst Pets – Kent

KentParakeet

Kent, otherwise known as Tweety, had a sleepover with a neighbor last weekend. His people went out of town, so Kent got to have an adventure of his own. At his host’s house he spread good cheer – plus some errant seeds and little feathers. In other words, Kent is a bit messy!

If you would like to see your pet featured in the Pinehurst Pet of the Week column, please send a photo and a story about your pet to nancy@pinehurstseattle.org.
